LearnUpon’s 2016 in Review

2016 has been one of the biggest years for LearnUpon yet! Highlights include moving into our new HQ, significantly enhancing our platform with the release of our new User Interface and doubling our team of Luppers. Let’s look back over the last 12 months with the world’s leading cloud-based Learning Management System.

Welcomed our 500th customer

We started the year off with a significant milestone as LearnUpon welcomed our 500th customer. We’d managed to grow LearnUpon’s customer base from zero to over 500 in three and a half years!

Named Top 10 LMS
Craig Weiss named LearnUpon a Top 10 LMS for 2016.

Learning Technology Conference

Our first event of the year was a trip to London for the Learning Technology conference. Our CEO Brendan Noud hosted a seminar at this event: “10 things to consider when selecting an LMS”.

Feature release

Our new Microsoft Azure AD integration meant that LearnUpon users could access and enable single sign-on. This made it easier for our customers to access and use their LMS securely.

Learning Solutions Conference

We celebrated St. Patrick’s day in Florida as we attended our first major US conference of 2016. This conference is a go-to event for training and development professionals. We’re looking forward to exhibiting at this conference again in 2017!

New Dublin Headquarters

This year we’ve increased our employee numbers by 100%. To accommodate all the new arrivals we needed somewhere with a bit more room. After almost 20 viewings and daily check-ins with letting agents we finally found our LearnUpon HQ home in Smithfield.

LearnUpon wins big at 2016 Blacknight SME Awards

We were honored to walk away with two trophies at the 2016 Blacknight SME awards. This was the second year in a row we won in two categories: Best for Customer Focus & Engagement and BEST B2B SME. The team was delighted that our investment in great customer support was recognized by the award judges.

Attended AITD conference Sydney

This was the first ever Australian conference we exhibited at. David from our Australian team was on hand, showing off our LMS and latest integrations. He even had the pleasure to catch up with some of our Australian customers!

Attended ATD Conference Denver

This conference is the largest for talent development professionals worldwide, as it covers all industry subjects and provides an outlook on what the future of talent development holds.

Hosted our first Webinar

Our CEO Brendan Noud hosted our first Webinar on the 10 Considerations for selecting an LMS, and our CTO Des Anderson kicked off his 5 Day series on SCORM.

Opened Our New York office

We moved into a new New York office. With over 50% of our customers based in the US we have plans for further US employees and expansion in 2017.

Attended ASAE

We attended ASAE in Salt Lake City this year. We always enjoy meeting current and future customers at conferences.

Released GoToMeeting Integration

On September 8th we announced our new Citrix GoToMeeting Integration. This new integration means that LearnUpon’s customers can easily access GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar, and manage a whole range of online meeting and training sessions for successful eLearning. However, this was just the start of a very exciting month for LearnUpon…

We released our new and improved UI/UX!

Our new UI/UX was built on the feedback of more than 600 customers. It delivers our customers a smoother and faster user experience. Our Dev team worked tremendously hard on this project!

New Office Sydney

To keep up with the rapid growth of our customers in Australia and New Zealand, it also made sense for us to expand into a new office in Sydney.

Attended World of Learning Birmingham

This was our first time attending this conference; it definitely won’t be the last! World of Learning was such a success that we’ve already booked our spot for next year.

New Office Belgrade

Our office in Belgrade struggled to keep up with our expanding team. In order to deliver on continued platform enhancements in 2017 we needed a bigger home.

Attended DevLearn, Las Vegas

DevLearn was a big event for LearnUpon. We got to catch up with our good friends eLearning Brothers.

More languages now available

We weren’t done for the year, though. We were still working hard on new features right up to the holidays, and the following new languages are now available on LearnUpon – Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Polish and Russian.

Over the course of the year, our support team went above and beyond delivering amazing customer support to our more than 600 customers. They even won our Holiday table competition! Well done Team Support!

From all the varied cities we’ve travelled to for conferences, to the release of our new UI, to the hundreds of new customers we’ve welcomed, it’s been a really busy year here at LearnUpon. We wish to thank all our valued customers for your support and feedback, which helps us get better every day. We’re looking forward to 2017!
